Terms and Conditions

By booking with us you are agreeing to our terms and conditions so please read carefully. These terms and conditions are for both ourselves and your own benefit, and of course that of your pets.

PAYMENT: We reserve the right to request payment on drop off. If you cannot pay on drop off on some occasions we may not be able to take your pet.

LATE COLLECTION: If you phone before or on the collection day to tell us you cannot collect (before noon) your pet and require more time, you will be charged for an additional day at regular price.

 If we receive no phone call the charge for that night will be doubled, as will any additional nights after this. If after 7 days after collection is due and I have not received any contact from you, I will be forced to call the RSPCA to collect your pet. This is because I am not an animal sanctuary, and it is your responsibility to collect your pet. (please note this will only happen if you do not contact us, we realise flights can get delayed etc. If there is a good reason we will keep hold of your pet for additional days, we just need to be told!)

 FOOD: Animals have delicate stomachs and a sudden change of diet can cause problems which can be fatal, therefore we require that you bring enough dried food for your pet throughout its stay. All food will be correctly labelled for each individual pet to prevent any problems. If you pet would like fresh fruit and vegetables included in their diet, please let me know as we can do this at no extra cost to you. (please only ask if you do normally give your pets veg as if they are not used to it, it could cause gut problems)

 SAD CIRUMSTANCES: Here at Sunny Days we have 24 hour access to an emergency vet and will ALWAYS get your pet to the vet if nessacery. But of course, there are many reasons as to why a small pet could pass away, and while we do everything to eliminate all chances of this, sometimes it it is unpreventable. We will of course phone you or your emergency contact should this happen.

VET BILLS: We ask you to either being an emergency cheque for your pet, or to make arrangements with your own vet that payment can be settled on your return. We will happily take your pet to their own vet if they are in Maldon, Tiptree or Witham or equivalent distance. This amount is your choice, and will be signed for by myself and returned 100% in full when you return if your pet did not need to see a vet. However we recommend £100 -(£150 if your pet is here with us for longer) If there is someone who could collect your pet and take them to the vet and cover the cost until you get back, let us know as this is fine by us.

VET VISITS: If your pet needs to see a vet this will incur a £10 charge from us. This is to cover petrol, and time spent taking your pet to the vets, including travel time, and waiting time. Sometimes we have to adjust work arrangements to enable us to offer this service so we cannot do this included in your daily rate.
 
HEALTH & VACCINATIONS: I will not accept any pets that are in ill health, injured or pregnant, unless previously discussed with and agreed with by me, I can issue medication for your pet if they are on a course of meds when they arrive, please discuss this with me if this is the case. Please bring proof of vaccination* with you at Drop Off. If you do not bring proof of vaccinations I will NOT be able to board your rabbit under any circumstances, as this is not fair to other boarders or my own rabbits.

Vaccinations must have been done at least seven days before your rabbit is left with us, to ensure full immunity (* If you have lost your vaccination card, you can collect a new one from the vets where the vaccination took place) we require both vaccinations to be done, Myxomatosis and VHD.

 If your pet is high risk to themselves due to health problems, I may request they board in our indoor boarding room instead of outside, so I can keep a closer eye on them, and monitor their health closely. I may also recommend this room for other health reasons.

LICENSING: Currently there are no licenses needed to run small animal boardings, so I will not be held liable for any of the above.
